How to Love Our City
We love Raleigh-Durham. God has planted us here and we desire to serve this city in tangible meaningful ways. As you look through the our philosophy/approach of Compassion for the Poor, our Loving the City Center, our Finding Help in the City brochure and our City Partnerships we want you to know these are some of the formal ways we are seeking to express our love for RDU. However, we also have families scattered all over the region seeking to love their neighbor where they are. From Downtown Raleigh, to Garner, to Knightdale, to Wake Forest, to Cary, to Holly Springs-Apex, to Fuquay Varina, to North Raleigh, to Durham, we are mobilizing an army of love. It is an army who desires to serve this city for the people's eternal joy.
Acts 8:4-8 (ESV) 4 Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word. 5 Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ.6 And the crowds with one accord paid attention to what was being said by Philip when they heard him and saw the signs that he did.... 8 So there was much joy in that city.
We are praying for much joy in RDU... a deep joy in Jesus.
