Why TCC on Campus?

Because College Students are our neighbors and we love them. Over 40,000 college students are less than 1 mile from where we meet. College is a huge season of transition, searching, and deciding on life direction. We want to serve students and join them on their journey of life and faith.

Aims

Treasuring Christ on Campus exists as a ministry of Treasuring Christ Church and seeks to provide opportunities for college-aged students to pursue enjoying Jesus Christ in all things. Our aim as a church and college ministry is to spread among all peoples a joyful love for Jesus Christ in all things for the glory of God. We seek to accomplish this as a ministry to college students in three ways.

1. Treasuring Christ:

• We seek to treasure Christ by pushing one another to think about the gospel in all aspects of our lives. The news that Jesus Christ lived a perfect life, was crucified on a cross, and was raised from the dead three days later in order to save all of those who would believe on Him, is news that is life transforming.

• We provide opportunities to grow more in love with Christ through reading and discussing relevant Christian literature from authors such as Tim Keller and John Piper.

2. Pursuing Community

• Scripture speaks of how believers should not neglect the gathering together, but we should consider how to stir one another up towards love and good works (Heb. 10:24-25). Our desire is that the primary means of accomplishing this would be through college students being active members of Treasuring Christ Church. We as a church provide opportunities to worship together on Sundays (10:45 Worship Service). We also provide accountability through local community groups which meet in homes in the Raleigh area (CLICK HERE to see more info on community groups).

• We also pursue community together through weekly meetings as a college group. We focus on treasuring Christ through Bible study, book discussion, prayer, accountability, worship, outreach on NC State’s campus, and recreation. 3. Loving the World

• We desire to love the world because it is glorifying to God and it brings great joy to believers. As we are called to make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:19-20), we provide opportunities to go as a group and share the good news of the gospel on the campus of NC State. Our hope is that the lives of all of the college students who participate in Treasuring Christ on Campus would use such opportunities to embolden them to proclaim Christ in their everyday lives.
