This Sunday @ TCC: Slaves to Christ Romans 6:15-23

Freed Final 150x150 This Sunday @ TCC: Slaves to Christ Romans 6:15 23Thanks for checking out the blog this week! Last week Pastor Sean preached from Ephesians 4:25–5:2, about the freedom we have in Christ to forgive.  If you missed this sermon you can listen to it here, or watch it below:

This week will continue in our Freed sermon series.  Pastor Sean will be preaching from  Romans 6:15-23.  Take some time to meditate on this text and come ready to hear God’s word preached!  Below are Pastor Sean’s thoughts about where we are heading this week:

Is it freedom to have no one calling the shots in your life?  Is it really freedom to have no restraints?  This week as we conclude our FREED series we must understand true freedom. True freedom is not freedom from authority. True Freedom is not freedom from responsibility. True Freedom is not to be without a master at all. True Freedom is to live under the most loving, most generous, most powerful master in the universe.  That is freedom.  With eyes to see Jesus as a better Master, we will be released from our captivity to sin and propelled into an intimate relationship with a Master who gave his life for us and empowers us to love with that same kind of willing self-sacrifice. I really look forward to worshipping with you Sunday morning.  May we be set Free Indeed.

May we sing this week as those who have received mercy. 1 Peter 2:9-10 says:

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Here are some of the songs that we will sing to proclaim His excellencies; take some time to listen and prepare to sing when we gather!
