This Sunday @ TCC: Deuteronomy 5:6-7; 5:21

Freed Final 150x150 This Sunday @ TCC: Deuteronomy 5:6 7; 5:21Thanks for checking out the blog this week! Last week Pastor Sean preached from Colossians 3:1-10. He encouraged us to identify and turn from our idols to rejoice in Jesus.  If you missed this sermon you can listen to it here.

This week we will continue on in our Freed Series. Pastor Paul will be preaching from Deuteronomy 5:6-7; 5:21.  Here are Pastor Paul’s thought about where we are heading this week:

This week we’ll continue in our ‘Freed’ series as we discuss the path to freedom from lust through Jesus.  We all have wild imaginations and wayward hearts that crave and lust after many things as we seek satisfaction and joy.  We’ll look at the enslaving reality of our lusts, while focusing on the HOPE for change and satisfaction that comes in Christ!  We’ll focus particularly on God’s commands in Deuteronomy 5:6-7, 21 that remind us the true path to joy is through undivided hearts that bow down to God alone, rather than worldly desires.  We’ll then discover, through one man’s example, the specific key to freedom and how finding freedom from lust leads to a life of great love.

Below are some of the songs we will sing this week. Take some time to listen to these songs so we can be ready to sing together when we gather on Sunday.
