This Sunday: 1 Corinthians 15:1-7; 12-20

Preparing for Sunday 150x150 This Sunday: 1 Corinthians 15:1 7; 12 20Thank you for checking out the blog this week! Last week we heard Pastor Sean preach an overview of 1 Corinthians 12-14, focusing on what it means to be a Spirit-filled people whose focus is on Christ crucified and whose actions are that of sacrificial love for others. If you missed this sermon, you can listen to it here or you can watch it here on vimeo.

This week we will move on in our 1 Corinthians sermon series to 1 Corinthians 15:1-7; 12-20. Here is a summary from Pastor Sean about where we are heading this week:

What difference does the resurrection make? Is it simply a point to argue about? Is it a fairy tale that has no bearing on our lives? Or should it have the same effect on us as it did the Apostle Paul…everything changes.  This week in 1 Corinthians 15:1-34  we will be reminded what difference the resurrection makes, not just defending it with someone who denies it’s reality but why it matters to his people in the every day.  Paul is passionate that God’s people believe in the reality of the resurrection and live in its power.  May God mold us into a people who live in and speak of the resurrection power of Jesus.
-Pastor Sean
