Delightful Disciplines: Love

This week Pastor Sean will continue our current series covering the discipline of love. He will preach from Hebrews 10:23-25. Here is a summary from Pastor Sean about this coming week:
“The gospel creates community. When people’s lives are changed by Jesus, they are saved to be in community with each other called the church. To be a follower of Jesus and to be an island of spirituality is a contradiction. We were remade to be in a spreading community of love. This is why this week from several passages beginning with Hebrews 10:23-25 we will be continuing our series on Delightful Disciplines and focusing on the discipline of love. Jesus says, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35) Love must begin among believers in community- sharing gospel encouragement, sharing what we have to meet needs, sharing our very lives together that we may not forget the gospel and who we are in Christ. An authentic community of love also fuels our love for God and has a direct impact on our love for the lost world. I look forward to exploring ways we can grow as a community of love in the upcoming year.” -Pastor Sean
This week we will also have the privilege to witness some being brought into our community at TCC through Covenant Affirmation.
